Tuha Oilfield: Accelerate Technological Innovation to Reduce Drilling and Fracturing Costs

Release time:2025-07-25 Clicks:

As of now, the Tuha Oilfield has completed 46 various plans for capacity construction and other aspects this year, with the design compliance rate reaching ** and the effectiveness rate of measures reaching 98%. This has effectively saved drilling and fracturing costs, and the supporting and guaranteeing role of engineering technology has become more prominent.
As the oilfield shifts to increasing reserves and production in ultra-deep and unconventional areas, the geological conditions have become more complex, posing higher requirements for engineering technical services. Since the beginning of this year, the engineering technical service units of the Tuha Oilfield have focused on key projects, accelerated technological innovation, and improved service quality. Engineering technical services have set several new records, helping the oilfield recover and get out of difficulties.
Focusing on "reserves engineering" and the "Spring Thunder Action", the drilling engineering of the Tuha Oilfield has carried out technical breakthroughs such as optimizing wellbore structure, improving speed tools, and upgrading drilling fluids for ultra-deep wells and key areas. The reservoir modification focuses on pressure formation, pressure control, and reserve upgrading, and continuously conducts technical breakthroughs and experiments.
In terms of drilling speed improvement, the engineering technical service units of the Tuha Oilfield collaborated with the Western Drilling Company, adhering to the concept of "one drilling engineering, full process speed improvement, and full-process control", optimizing drilling speed plans and measures, effectively shortening the drilling cycle of the "Weight Stone" project in Luquein. The No. 2 Well in Fuhuang achieved the application of water-based drilling fluid system instead of oil-based drilling fluid system in the second open hole, safely drilling to a depth of 4,100 meters, setting new records for the deepest, fastest drilling speed, and shortest drilling cycle in the 311 mm wellbore application of water-based drilling fluid in the Jungdun block.
In terms of fracturing efficiency improvement, the engineering technical service units of the Tuha Oilfield finely optimized the fracturing design, formed a "expert + technical backbone" work team, clarified the responsibilities and collaboration mechanisms of each team, and took the lead in command to ensure seamless connection of all links. Facing complex downhole conditions and variable on-site environments, the Tuha Oilfield used real-time monitoring data to dynamically adjust fracturing parameters, ensuring that the construction process and formation conditions were precisely matched, and solving problems on-site, effectively guaranteeing the safety and efficiency of fracturing construction.
